The 'Garden Tomb' in Jerusalem is believed by many to be the place of the burial and resurrection of Jesus. It does not, in fact, claim to compete with the the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which has a long history of that tradition, but it is somewhere to contemplate the nature of the meaning of that belief in this Holy City. There are beautiful gardens where there is tranquillity and an opportunity for worship and reflection.
About Nigel Radcliffe
I was born a Manxman - a native of the Isle of Man in the centre of the British Isles - and my heritage from there sometimes brings a Celtic element to my work. However, another side of my personality has often been expressed in my acrylic painting and photography in a more extraverted, Mediterranean way. This has no doubt been influenced by the fact that I have travelled through Europe and elsewhere in the past, but I have come to look for inspiration nearer to my home in recent years in a beautiful part of the north of England.
