Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

This image is a view from the gardens of the Brighton Pavilion, a summer palatial residence by the sea on the south coast of England created by the architect, John Nash, for King George IV. He ruled from 1820 to his death in 1830. He was famous for being an indulgent and extravagant individual, in complete contrast to his father King George III, for whom he had acted as Regent when the former had gone mad in later life. Nevertheless, he had a passion for the arts, especially Indian architecture and French furniture. The similarity of the dome to the Taj Mahal may be noted.

I was born a Manxman - a native of the Isle of Man in the centre of the British Isles - and my heritage from there sometimes brings a Celtic element to my work. However, another side of my personality has often been expressed in my acrylic painting and photography in a more extraverted, Mediterranean way. This has no doubt been influenced by the fact that I have travelled through Europe and elsewhere in the past, but I have come to look for inspiration nearer to my home in recent years in a beautiful part of the north of England. My Christian faith underlies what I do in art as in the rest of my life. I am a retired clinical psychologist and am married with children and grandchildren.
