Artist's Description
Lake Tiberias, known to so many bible readers as the Sea of Galilee, also known as Lake Gennesaret, lies at the northern fertile plain of Israel and this view is from the west looking towars the Golan Heights in the east.
The text from Saint Mark's gospel in the Christian Bible (New Testament) speaks of Jesus' ministry which was often from around the shore of the lake and this photo is from near the town of Tiberias, not far from Capernaum where Jesus often stayed as a base.

I was born a Manxman - a native of the Isle of Man in the centre of the British Isles - and my heritage from there sometimes brings a Celtic element to my work.
