The Church of St Mary de Ballaugh (pronounced 'Ball-aff') is the older of two Anglican churches in this parish, in the north of the Isle of Man in the centre of the British Isles. Little is known of the early history of the building but there is mention of a church here in a Papal Bull of 1231. It is well known for its leaning gate posts, evident on the right of the photograph.

I was born a Manxman - a native of the Isle of Man in the centre of the British Isles - and my heritage from there sometimes brings a Celtic element to my work. However, another side of my personality has often been expressed in my acrylic painting and photography in a more extraverted, Mediterranean way.
